Dua: A Call To Allah

Allah, Lord of the words.

Bringer of peace.

Taker of pain.

Thank you for all you have blessed me with.

Thank you for sending Prophet Muhammed ﷺ to this earth and for giving us a role model so perfect.

Please send my greetings to all the Prophets and Messengers, عليه السلام.

Allah, I come to you alone to ask you.

Please relieve the hearts that are heavy.

Ease the burdens that weigh upon my loved ones.

Rid all ill from us and replace it with good.

Allow us to use our wealth to please you.

Do not allow us to leave the righteous path.

If we ever go astray, please, Allah, bring us back.

Keep our hearts firm upon this religion of Islam.

Please protect all my brothers and sisters across the world.

Have mercy and show them the way.

Please allow my loved ones, the pious people and me to die in faith, after a life of righteousness, while reading the Shahadah (declaration of faith).

Allow us entry to Jannah together.

Please have mercy and forgive us for all the wrong we have done in knowledge and ignorance.

You alone I come to. You alone can help me.

Indeed, you are the greatest.

Ameen.

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِى سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ ٦٠

-Your Lord has proclaimed, “Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Surely those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell, fully humbled.”

~The Qur’an 40:60

Sometimes, it is hard to thing of what exactly to say when you make a prayer but know that Allah knows what is in your heart.
