Hiding Away

A Poem

Even the sun can’t reach the bottom of the ocean,
Where darkness reigns and light dies.
And there concealed are your lies,
In the depths of the dark.

You thought it would cloak your misdeeds,
But this is a false held belief.
The dark will not give you relief.
Here nor there, you cannot hide away.

Even if the sun’s light can’t reach the bottom,
It does not guarantee secrecy.
For the creatures of the sea,
Create their own light.

But what is of more import,
Is the fact nothing can be truly concealed,
Not when it can all be revealed.
As God sees all; if only we saw this.
أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ
Does he not know that Allah sees ˹all˺?
