A Typo Horror!

In truth, I am a bit (A GREAT DEAL) of a grammar freak.

‘I’ must always be capitalised. Lovely semi-colons. Correct tense usage.

But just sometimes, I love typos. Why? Because it proves you wrote that note, maybe in haste, as you rushed to get the words out. Or in love, as you added extra O’s to your declaration. Or just because you’re human and we all make mistakes.

It shows that you wrote it. Not some robot. Your typos are proof of your humanity.

In an age where AI-written pieces and AI-generated text is on the rise, I find myself more enamoured with typos. It shows care when you choose to write your own comments and not use an unauthentic method. (I’m looking at those alarmingly obvious AI-generated comments and articles, in particular!)

Of course, we do not only have to rely on typos to show that we have not used a robot to come up with something to say. Real human writing has flair and a feel AI writing cannot compete with.

You must hold firm to your style because it is as unique as you are.
