Lockdown but Not Locked Up
A little poem I wrote during Lockdown but can be adapted to our lives after too.
We may be in a lockdown,
Locked in our town.
But we are not locked up.
For our thoughts run free,
And blossom like a fruit tree.
We can go wherever our imagination takes us,
To lands far and wide, thus
We are not locked up.
We can explore the unexplored,
Uncover the uncovered.
Maybe, we cannot physically go out,
But that can’t stop our minds, without a doubt.
We are not locked in.
Let your feelings out,
Let them pour out.
Here, we are unfettered,
Unconfined, untethered.
We are free.
In our minds, in our space,
At our own pace.
*I wrote this without looking at Lockdown itself, for my views on that are something else.
