Salam!

As a Sunni, it is disheartening to see Muslims hating on each other- this is wrong.

But what I find wrong is also beliefs held by Shias, from mourning people to not accepting fate.

There were no Shias in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and they came after his (peace be upon him) death. The ones that were not Shia were automatically called Sunnis, they accepted fate. It is a shame these splits have occurred but this is our test. May we be among the righteous. Ameen

It was narrated from Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood among us and said: “Those who came before you of the people of the Book split into seventy-two sects, and this ummah will split into seventy-three: seventy-two in Hell and one in Paradise, and that is the jamaa’ah (main body of Muslims).”
