We Tried So Hard

A Poem

Turning wind cold,

The roots grow old.

With truth untold,

You take ahold.

You thought you knew,

So much you do.

But away blew,

The words you spew.

We tried so hard,

When things got marred.

Now they be charred,

With no regard.

Pieces picking,

Truth now seeking.

Can’t be breaking,

In the making.
