Do Not Sit In The Ear Of The Ignorant

These words came to me when I was half asleep- as all great ideas usually do; I thought it was a nice idiom to share with you all.
If one only listens to certain viewpoints and completely blocks out everything else willingly- picking and choosing what they educate themselves on, when they specifically know there is more to those ideas they hold, they are ignorant.
We all have choices in life. Choose to be informed and choose not to sit in the ear of the ignorant.
Simply put, do not take one source as your only source of information. Do not choose to surrounded by ideas already picked by someone else who does not wish to expand their knowledge.
After all, if you were to sit an an ignorant person’s ear, you would not hear much to further your knowledge, only information to cement certain ideas the ignorant being does not wish to ever be rid of, regardless if it is true or not.
And because they are ignorant, they may turn their ear away from possible truths and anything they do not wish to know.
Do not be of them or among them.
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ أَتَتْكَ ءَايَـٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ تُنسَىٰ
